While doing work experience I learnt a lot about the processes and procedures of HR. I got involved with recruitment, payroll and organisational meetings. My highlight was being involved in shortlisting applications, organising an assessment centre and recruiting new apprentices.

Being at the heart of the organisation they are in charge of maintaining staff performance, organisation design and development, employment policies, workforce planning, recruitment, payroll, talent development and so forth. HR provide the expertise and knowledge to guide, assist and transform the operations of a organisation. This is a highly desireable placement for business students although it relates to almost all subject interests.
